Examinations | |
Our doctors provide comprehensive eye examinations. The examination is designed to obtain the maximum information about the function of your vision; as well as, the health of your eyes.Medical history: The health of your eyes can be affected by certain medications and systemic health conditions. These conditions include diabetes and hypertension. It is important for our doctors to know about your health problems and any medicine that you take. Pre Exam: Our technicians will check how well you see, and use a computer to check your refactive error and corneal curvature. They will verify the prescription of your existing glasses, and perform a computerized visual field test that is designed to detect any possible losses of vision due to glaucoma or neurological problems. The Refraction: The doctor will help guide you to the most accurate evaluation of your refractive error. This test determines near sightedness, far sightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia. When finished the doctor will prescribe the proper lenses for each individuals needs. Eye Health Evaluation: The doctor will evaluate both the internal and external structures of your eyes using a microscope and other instruments. An evaluation of the internal pressure of the eyes will also be performed. If the doctor feel it is necessary, a dilation of your pupils will be discussed with you. A thorough eye health assesment is important for the detection of eye diseases such as; glaucoma, diabetes, hypertension, and cataracts. Consultation: The doctor will provide you with a complete explanation of the test results, examination findings, and explain your individual treatment plan. He will also answer any questions that you may have regarding the examination. |

Optical Laboratory and Dispensary | |
Our optical laboratory has the ability to fabricate new lenses and do edging on existing lenses. We are also able to tint, coat, and harden spectacle lenses. We are able to perform repair work on new and old frames. Our staff will also adjust your frame to your face to maximize your wearing comfort. Our optical dispensary offers a selection of over 900 ophthalmic frames to choose from. We offer all price ranges and a wide selection of designer frames and sunglasses. We accept most outside prescriptions. |

Contact Lenses | |
Our doctors are trained to fit and prescribe all types and brands of contact lenses. This includes soft lenses and rigid gas permeable hard lenses. They are also trained to fit specialty contact lenses for certain eye conditions such as, the correction of presbyopia with monovision or bifocal contact lenses. Other correctable conditions include, astigmatism, keratoconus, and residual refractive error after LASIK, PRK, or RK.There are alot of factors to consider when you make a decision to wear contact lenses. The biggest factor is usually cost. Our doctors think it is important that you know what is included in the initial cost of trying contact lenses. 1. Comprehensive eye examination. 2. Diagnostic contact lens determination and fitting. 3. Insertion and removal training. This also includes an explanation of the care regimen required for the needs of your individually fitted contact lenses. 4. Any follow up visits required to provide you with a contact lens fit that is the most healthy for your eyes, and also achieves the best vision and comfort possible. |

Optomap Retinal Exam | |
Our doctors are proud to offer the newest technology in retinal evaluation. The Optomap Retinal Exam. This technology allows our doctors to evaluate your retina without the effects of pupil dilation. The Optomap uses two lasers to scan your retina, this produces a digital picture of the entire back of the eye in less than a second. This digital picture along with computerized analysis, assists our doctors in the evaluation of your retina from year to year.
