Dr. Merle I. Barber
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Dr. Barber graduated from Las Vegas High School. Dr. Barber attended Pacific University where he recieved his Bachelor of Science degree, and his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1973. Returning home to Las Vegas, Dr. Barber began practicing optometry. In 1974 he established his private practice at 1300 S. Eastern Ave. and it has continued to grow ever since. Now as Las Vegas Family Eye Care the practice has grown to include three doctors and a support staff of eight employees. Dr. Barber is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Nevada Optometric Association, and the Southern Nevada Optometric Association.
Dr. Barber enjoys the long term friendships that have developed with his patients. Dr. Barber will continue to work four days per week over the next eight to ten years, but has promised himself that he will take several significant vacations each year. He likes to travel, ski, hunt, and would like to become a better golfer.

Dr. Todd C. Angell
A lifetime native of Las Vegas, Dr. Angell graduated from Las Vegas High School. He recieved his Bachelors of Science degree in Radiologic Technology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In 1999 Dr. Angell graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry, where his training had a specific emphasis in ocular disease. Dr. Angell joined Las Vegas Family Eye Care december of 2000. Dr. Angell is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Nevada Optometric Association, and is a past President of the Southern Nevada Optometric Association. He continues to stay current on all aspects of Optometry with many hours of continuing education each year.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Angell enjoys spending time with his wife and their three dogs. He is also an avid golfer intent on lowering his handicap.
